Android mobile or tablet will not connect to Wi-Fi?

If you have an Android mobile or tablet that will not connect to Wi-Fi, or you are experiencing similar issues, then you should try the following basic troubleshooting steps:

 

1. Forget the Wi-Fi network on the Android device. You can do this by navigating to 'Settings > Wireless and network > Wi-Fi Settings', and clicking on your Wi-Fi network. You can then press 'Forget' when the dialog box comes up.

2. Restart your broadband modem / router.

3. Restart the Android device.

4. Try connecting to the Wi-Fi network again, once your modem / router is connected to the Internet.

 

These basic troubleshooting steps work 80% of the time, so we recommend giving them a try.
